Yimin was a PhD candidate under the supervision of Prof. Christoph Lehrenfeld. His research focused on high-order numerical methods and analysis for geometrically coupled PDEs on time-dependent manifolds with mean curvature flow.

• Numerical methods for PDEs on evolving surfaces
• Nonlinear coupling between geometric flow and PDE solutions posed on evolving geometry
• Applications: osmotic swelling of biological cells, two-phase bubble flows
